What does the automatic mode do?
Auto mode runs up to three Ghostscript profiles (printer, ebook, and screen) and keeps the smallest output that still meets our readability checks. It is ideal when you simply need a lighter PDF without tweaking settings.
How much smaller will my PDF get?
Most office PDFs and slide decks end up 30–60% smaller. Large scans with many photos may shrink a bit less, but auto mode always keeps text searchable and avoids over-aggressive downsampling.
Are my PDFs safe?
Yes. Uploads travel over HTTPS, are stored temporarily on encrypted volumes, and are deleted automatically after one hour. We never inspect or share your files.
